Arthur Brancart is the inventor of Marbrite, an opal glass that had incredible appeal thanks to Art Deco. From 1915, Brancart built an entire village around his glassworks in Fauquez. He organized the life of his 1,000 workers there under the motto: "Work hard, have fun".
